The local press in Nottingham is reporting that Nottingham Forest are lining up a seven figure sum for unsettled QPR goalkeeper Lee Camp.

Billy Davies is keen to land the 24-year-old stopper who spent 15 games on loan at the City Ground last season overseeing the exit of boss Colin Calderwood.

His performances were sufficient that Davies, the man who sold Camp to QPR, attempted to sign him in the January transfer window.

The collapse of that deal saw him sit out the remainder of the season at Loftus Road, playing second fiddle to Czech goalkeeper Radek Cerny.

In the past Forest have failed to meet Rangers asking price, but this latest seven-figure assault as reported by This is Nottingham is set to test Rangers chiefs` resolve.

With Jim Magilton the new man at the helm allegedly demanding control of transfer dealings within the club, it remains to be seen whether Camp will be allowed to move to pastures new or whether he has a future at Loftus Road.
