QUEENS Park Rangers are today in new hands as Tony Fernandes secured a deal to buy the West London club

The 47-year-old Malaysian has secured a controlling 66% of Queens Park Rangers, signalling the end of a somewhat turbulent spell at the helm for Flavio Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone.

The self-professed West Ham United supporter’s arrival marks the return of Vice Chairman Amit Bhatia, and the hopeful indication of a positive working relationship with Lakshmi Mittal.

Fans have already heralded the arrival of Fernandes who will be joined by the co-owner of his company, Tune Group, Mr Kamarudin Bin Meranun.

Fernandes is an avid user of the social network twitter and as well as following @vitalqpr, you can find him at @tonyfernandes.
