Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson looks ahead to the clash against QPR at Loftus Road, desperate to get that first Championship win.

Depending on what reports you read, the opposition manager could well have been in the home dugout this weekend had the right permutations come to fruition.

As it stands he remains the manager of Peterborough despite continued reported interest from clubs around the country, and he faces a tough ask to keep the Posh in the Championship.

In speaking to theposh.com he praised Loftus Road for it’s great character and tradition in anticipation on a tough test in W12.

“I think it’ll be another difficult game,” said Ferguson.

“They’re a decent team at home they’ve added some players to their team, quite a few loan players so we know it’s going to be a difficult day.

“It’s a great atmosphere always at Loftus Road it’s a proper football ground, it’s enclosed and it’s right on top of you, so I’m looking forward to going there and I’m sure we’ll give them a good game.”

While Posh have displayed good cup pedigree, they have yet to break their Championship duck – as they search for that elusive win.

They have lost out by the odd goal on two occasions with Ferguson conceding the only game in which they were outplayed was against Preston North End in a 2-0 defeat.

He won’t be resting on his laurels as his side travel to West London this weekend, and when asked whether he would go on the offensive, he responded in definitive manner.

“I never get my players to play any other way,” Ferguson continued.

“I want us to go out and try and win the game because I know that if we get it right we’re capable of winning it. But we’ve got to get that win sooner rather than later that’s obvious.”

Peterborough currently sit in 21st place with two points to their name, four points and six places behind Queens Park Rangers. With QPR still searching for their first home win, and Peterborough playing positively, one would assume that something has to give in this weekend’s clash.
