LEROY Fer has today left Queens Park Rangers for Swansea City

The 26-year-old pens a three-year contract at the Liberty Stadium for an undisclosed fee and will undoubtedly be a hefty weight freed from Queens Park Rangers’ wage bill.

The Dutch midfielder netted eight goals in 50 appearances for QPR, notably a fine goal against Swansea City in the Premier League.

He suffered however, a second successive relegation having dropped through the trap door with Norwich City a year earlier.

A sluggish start to the 2015/16 campaign, coupled with new management in W12 and sizeable wage demands, Fer was loaned out to the Swans, and today makes that a permanent deal.

This is sure to free up some funds as Rangers and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink continue to assemble a squad to vie for a top six finish.
