“Far too weak”, “totally wrong” – Many QPR fans left seething with Warburton after cup defeat

|

Well that was a huge disappointment wasn’t it?

Not exactly the most thrilling of games to watch apart from the goals, and it didn’t really spark into life until the end of the game when things started getting desperate.

QPR are out of the FA Cup and barring a huge turnaround in fortune when it comes to the league, there won’t be any trips to Wembley this year for Mark Warburton’s men. And it was the QPR boss that seemed to come in for a lot of criticism when the game was over.

Warburton said ahead of the game that he intended to put out a ‘strong team’ against The Owls, but clearly that team wasn’t strong enough, and it was only when the ‘big names’ like Nahki Wells came on that QPR even looked like threatening, so I think it’s safe to say that Warburton got it wrong on this occasion.

At least that’s what these QPR fans seemed to believe after the game, as they tore into the boss over his decision making both during and after the game.

Did Warburton get it wrong on Friday?

Yes, he should have gone stronger

No, he was right to rotate

Although in fairness to him, he can’t take all the blame, especially for something like the first goal, that’s a player problem more than anything.
