VITAL QPR asks for the views of the fans, as we look back to last season and with great anticipation for the coming campaign – this time Gillard.

LAST SEASON

Favourite Goal & Why?: Tarbs v Arsenal – Proper class goal and we deserved to win that day. Set up season finale push

Favourite Game & Why?: Stoke. It mattered so much and was so late – great atmosphere. Bolton mare was a bonus. 2nd was Tommy Smith’s goals for different reasons.

Player of the Season & Why?: Ferdinand in the end. Would be Hill but my seat was in line with loft end back four and he always dropped off two years and kept opponents onside.

Signing of the Season & Why?: Ultimately Cissé was the one who kept us up, despite his misdemeanours. Proper striker who seems to care.

View on Last Season: Before the season I predicted 18th because of upheaval but I hoped for more. Ignoring the torture, staying up and upward trajectory was acceptable. Was delighted Akos & Jamie got to play meaningful roles.

2012-13 SEASON

Signing of the Summer So Far & Why?: Keeping Diakité. Most excited I’ve been about a signing since Wegerle.

Your Captain & Why?: I would like somebody more vocal than Anton. Suspect at the mo it will be Park or another Marky signing

Hotly Anticipated Fixture?: Not CFC. I think Hammers… Great London derby/atmosphere, and it will show how far we’ve come.

Starting XI – Opening Day: Think not hope… Green (pls don’t be injured), Onouha, Ferdinand, AN Other, Fabio or Traore, Hoilett, Diakite, Derry (Faurlín not ready), Park, Zamora, AJ. I think choice of players will be dictated but who we are playing and MH could have some ace talent left on the bench re Swansea

Expectations?: Never to be in bottom three. Gong into every game thinking we have a decent chance. 12th minimum

Many thanks to Gillard – if you’d like to let us know your answers add to the thread on the forum or email qpr@vitalfootball.co.uk.
