It was another of those weekend’s for Queens Park Rangers as we faced Birmingham City last Saturday, but tonight presents an opportunity break our run of form as we face Bristol City.
Having found ourselves 4-0 down before the halftime break last weekend, an almost sterling fightback seeing a brace from Matt Smith and an effort from Jordan Cousins only saw disappointment as Nakhi Wells spurned his effort from 12 yards as we won a penalty late on, and to his credit, the 28-year-old was quick to take to social media to apologise to fans for his mistake.
Prob the worst feeling I’ve ever had in football!! Apologies I let us down!! Try & right the wrong on Tuesday!!

With four straight defeats, the disappointment was palpable, and it’s obvious to everyone how we have to turn our current run of form around, but plenty of fans in response to his above message were prepared to back him to bounce back and no doubt plenty more would’ve loved Tony Fernandes’ own words on the topic as under manager Steve McClaren we certainly seem to have a tight spirit back, and we will need that to get back to winning ways.
Absolutely Tone. Nahki has been top class, and in a short time really feels like one of our own. I’m gutted about today, but Friday night under the lights into the last 8 of the FA Cup, should do the trick ????⚪️

1977 Dave Webb missed a penalty away to AEK Athens in QF Eufa Cup for us, nobody blamed him as we got knocked out of the Cup, no proper QPR supporter will blame you @nahkiwells
Incidentally, our next game after getting KO’d all those years ago was also away to Bristol City!— Joe Hylton???????????????????????????? (@JoeHylton1) February 10, 2019
Chin up Nahki, we go again on Tuesday. ????⚪

You didn’t let us down. You gave us hope & tried your best – what a pressure penalty that was! Hold your head high – you’ve been amazing for us this season & you will score way more on the weeks ahead #goNakhi #superstriker #QPR

Could see you were so upset at the final whistle. You did your best and that’s all you can do. Better luck next time.
