Jermaine Beckford looks set to leave Leeds United after being transfer listed and Queens Park Rangers are one of the favourites to capture his signature.

QPR have been made second favourites at 10/1 to snap up the want-away striker behind Newcastle United and ‘A Premier League Club` who both sit at eights.

Beckford trialled with Queens Park Rangers on two occasions after leaving Chelsea in 2003, following a successful spell with Isthmian Premier League side Wealdstone.

The Daily Mirror attributed ‘suspect temperament` as the reason for failing to make the grade at Loftus Road.

After leaving Chelsea, Wealdstone snapped up the striker and loaned him out to Uxbridge for a brief period. He returned to fire 54 goals in 82 appearances for the Stones and attract interest from Football League clubs.

Eventually the forward made the move to Leeds United with a number of sides looking to snap up his signature. He was loaned out to Carlisle United then Scunthorpe United in League One and after playing every game in his loan spell snapped up eight goals to help the Iron secure the title.

In Beckford the Whites had a hot commodity with the young forward bagging 54 goals in 82 games – but two successive seasons in which Leeds have failed to get promoted have cost them dear with Jermaine looking to move on to pastures new.
