Kevin Gallen has given his current manager Paul Ince the backing to go a long way in football management circles.

The former QPR striker, who has brief spells at Barnsley, Huddersfield and Plymouth has backed his current manager to do the business at his potential new club, Blackburn Rovers.

“I`ve been very impressed with Paul.” Gallen said.

“The biggest thing is he has the respect of the players for what he achieved in his career.”

“He always demands 100% from his squad. If he doesn`t get it, that`s when you see him get angry.”

Ince is being widely tipped to be the new boss at Ewood Park following the announcement that Mark Hughes had left for Manchester City.

Since then managerial rumours have come and gone, with Sam Allardyce reportedly citing that Ince was nailed on for the role, despite his lack of qualifications.

But the stirring words of the former R`s forward will undoubtedly spur the former Liverpool, Inter Milan and Manchester United forward into his new role.
