“Even my old man”, “Carnage” – Many QPR fans drool over moment of pandemonium

|

Many QPR fans have reacted on Twitter to the glorious moment when Jamie Mackie put them 2-1 ahead against Manchester City on the final day of the Premier League season in 2011/12.

With City fighting for their first-ever Premier League and QPR fighting to stay within the division, QPR fell behind to a Zabaleta goal which put the hosts on course to win the title.

QPR were huge underdogs, but a Djibril Cisse goal managed to put them level, sending the R’s fans into raptures.

Joey Barton then got himself sent off following a clash with Carlos Tevez, before the Etihad was silenced one more when Jamie Mackie nodded home a cross from Armand Traore.

This is the point where you can see the video shared below by the popular Twitter page @FootyLimbs – a page aimed for highlights of goals which have big goal celebrations – and as you can see, you probably could have heard those celebrations from Queen’s Park.

What followed was less enjoyable for supporters; Manchester City, of course, managed to bag twice within injury time, but it was smiles all around as the club managed to stay up nonetheless.
