Rangers midfielder Hogan Ephraim today joined Division One high fliers Leeds United on a one month loan.

Rangers boss Jim Magilton welcomed the move saying “He is still recovering from an ankle injury and an important part of his rehab is to get some games under his belt. He will get that at Leeds.”

Leeds manager Simon Grayson said: ‘Hogan is quick and direct and can play on either side. We have a busy time coming up and he gives us options and competition for places.’

The 21-year-old is ineligible for Leeds’ FA Cup clash at Kettering on Sunday, but is expected to be included in the squad for the trip to Oldham next Tuesday for a League One game.

Hogan signed on for us in January 2008 for a reported £800,000 following a successful loan spell that had John Gregory describing him as “technically very gifted and has the versatility to play on the right or left of midfield”

So far this season he has appeared in a hooped shirt 7 times scoring twice before being sidelined with an ankle injury.
