Duo Complete An Hour

Lee Cook and Rowan Vine completed an hour in a behind closed doors Reserve fixture this afternoon.

The squad which included three trialists – reportedly a left back and two central midfielders – saw the injury-blighted duo Cook and Vine come through an hours play.

Initially expected to complete the 45 minutes – consolation with the medical team saw Cook and Vine complete and hours play.

‘They’ve both been working hard on their fitness recently but that’s no substitute for them playing games,’ he said.

‘This was great for the pair of them. They were both desperate to play.

‘This match also gave us the opportunity to look at some trialists.

‘We’re very fortunate that Mick still has very good contacts at Luton, which meant we were able to get this game on.’

Rangers went on to lose an entertaining encounter 3-0 at Harlington – the rewards however could be seen in the coming weeks as two important players return to fitness.
