MICHAEL Doughty has joined League Two side Aldershot Town
The 19-year-old midfielder has joined the Shots on a one-month loan deal and could be in line for a squad place against Torquay United tomorrow night.
He follows in the footsteps of Bruno Andrade who also had a brief spell at the EBB Stadium – while Doughty himself embarks on his second loan period after a successful stint at Crawley Town.
Shots boss Dean Holdsworth said: “I have watched Michael for the best part of a year. He has progressed well in that period. He has great ability with a good left foot and he can play in a number of positions.
“I want the fans to see entertaining football and Michael is a bright and talented young man who has a great future ahead of him”.
Holdsworth will be looking for the kind of form that Doughty displayed in Crawley’s win over Aldershot earlier this campaign.
