Cardiff City will have two key players missing for the clash with Queens Park Rangers tomorrow afternoon.

A scan on striker Ross McCormack as revealed that a hamstring tear had not healed as quickly as expected and he will remain on the sidelines for as long as another month.

Boss Dave Jones told cardiffcityfc.co.uk: ‘Ross will need a few more weeks in rehab, so we’re looking at mid-October before he’s back. He’s not healing as quickly as we would like.

“He felt a slight twinge when he trained. It’s knocked him back a couple of weeks. We have to be careful – the last thing we want is for it to go again. We brought him back too early last year.”

Manchester City loanee Kelvin Etuhu will also be missing from this weekend’s game after suffering an ankle ligament injury on Friday, and injury that may require pinning.

Jones said: ‘Kelvin is having a test today and after that a decision will be taken on whether the ankle will be pinned or put in a cast.

“It’s a bad one and we’ll have to wait and see what Manchester City’s specialist has to say. We hope it won’t be pinned.’

For news regarding the possible inclusion of skipper Joe Ledley, full-back Kevin McNaughton and Adam Matthews, stay tuned for the full match preview coming soon.
