Controversial figure El-Hadji Diouf has once again over-stepped the mark in his treatment of double leg-break victim Jamie Mackie this afternoon.

No stranger to the ugly side of football, Diouf has been called up to the FA for several transgressions, mainly involving spitting incidents, but his latest incident has left a sour taste to say the least.

Fully committed duo Jamie Mackie and Gael Givet were both injured in a horrifying 50/50 challenge, the reaction of players surrounding Mackie gave fans an indication as to the severity.

Clint Hill and Shaun Derry cut figures of concern while Bradley Orr walked away with his head in his hands, it was evident to many that this was a nasty injury indeed.

To everyone that is apart from El-Hadji Diouf. The Senegalese international was seen to be taunting the young QPR forward who lie badly injured on the Ewood Park turf.

This tirade continued into the tunnel after the game, where it has been reported on the official QPR website that he stated: ‘I don’t care if he’s broken his leg.’.

Neil Warnock compared Diouf to being worse than a sewer rat, and while you cannot condone those words, you can obviously understand his anger and frustration at a player that continues to stray on the wrong of the tracks.

Action isn’t expected to be taken against Diouf for his actions, but it has certainly proved another bleak day in the career of the controversial Senegalese forward.
