Dexter Blackstock has expressed his desire to play for Queens Park Rangers once more in their upcoming friendly against Oxford United.

The product of the Oxford United youth system is looking forward to a reunion with his former club and has indicated his desire to play on the Kassam Stadium turf.

Last season`s friendly was cancelled owing to a private event and Blackstock was left crestfallen with Rangers instead travelling to Stevenage Borough – this time around the R`s number nine is looking to appear against his former club.

Speaking at the set-up of his Oxford Soccer School the former U`s striker told The Oxford Times: ‘I’m really looking forward to playing in that game at Oxford.’

‘I’ve never actually played at the Kassam Stadium, although I have trained on it a lot!

‘But Oxford United was the club where it all started for me.’

Blackstock has been continually linked with a move away from Loftus Road but with Jim Magilton taking the helm in W12 it remains to be seen whether a move to Nottingham Forest will come to fruition.

Magilton himself made 150 appearances for Oxford United between 1990-94 and scored 34 goals. This will be his first experience of the Kassam Stadium having plied his trade at the Manor Ground which has since made way for a hospital.
