Vital QPR and have teamed up to bring you an exclusive whereby R’s striker Dexter Blackstock talks about Ray Jones and this weekend’s home fixture against Saints.

Talking about last weekends dreadful events, Dexter said…

‘There is no chance that Ray will be forgotten by anyone at QPR. He was well liked by the players and the supporters and we will be thinking about him every time we go out on the pitch this season. We want to do well for Ray.’

As for the player’s tribute to Ray…

‘I think for the home game against Southampton on Saturday we are all going to be wearing shirts with Ray’s name on. We will have our own squad numbers but it will be Ray’s name. We will be a team of Ray Joneses. Hopefully we’ll do him proud.’

‘Southampton are a big side and a good side but we’re all looking forward to the game and we totally believe we can win and really kick-start our season. And you can be sure when we go out there the memory of Ray Jones won’t be far away.’
