Joel Lynch is Queens Park Rangers second summer signing as he pens a deal from Huddersfield Town

The 28-year-old Welsh international follows Ariel Borysiuk through the door at Loftus Road in what is undoubtedly going to be a busy summer for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

The fee is as always undisclosed and a three-year contract has been inked by the former Nottingham Forest defender.

Featuring mainly at the centre of defence for the Terriers, Lynch has also featured at full-back previously – he will undoubtedly look to fill the void vacated by the experienced Clint Hill.

Lynch told QPR.co.uk: ‘I’m delighted to be here.

‘This is a massive opportunity for me to improve as a player.

‘I feel I’m in my prime now and I’m ready to kick on and become an established player at this club.

‘I just want to get going now and meet the lads, repay the faith of the manager and owners who have brought me here, and show what I can do for QPR.’

Lynch will link up with former Terrier Alex Smithies and will vie with Nedum Onuoha, Grant Hall and dare I say Steven Caulker for a central defensive berth.
