Loanee Tommy Williams has been recalled by his parent club Peterborough United ahead of the New Year fixtures.

The 29-year-old Cypriot international has returned to London Road after an indifferent spell in W12, where his form has been somewhat sporadic.

After a poor debut against Doncaster, Tommy’s form picked up and he played a useful role in the draw against West Bromwich Albion and the victory against Bristol City.

His future at Peterborough hangs in the balance with the full-back initially hoping to earn a contract at Loftus Road – this call-back doesn’t seem to define the issue either way.

He is set to feature against Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup, while Gary Borrowdale will be recalled to the R’s defence for the trip to Sheffield United on Sunday.
