Holland international Edgar Davids will not feature for Leicester City at Loftus Road this evening after failing to agree terms with the Foxes.

The club revealed today that the former Juventus and Barcelona star has failed to agree terms within the deadline that Milan Mandaric had set previously.

Speaking to lcfc.co.uk Mandaric disclosed that the deal for the 74-times capped midfielder had indeed fallen through.

‘Unfortunately we were not able to come to an agreement with Edgar and his representatives,’ he said.

‘We have decided not to take this matter further and wish Edgar luck in his future career.’

The Foxes will now continue with Matthew Oakley and Richie Wellens at the heart of midfield this evening after some useful performances.
