Today, young reserve goalkeeper, Reece Crowther, had his contract cancelled by mutual consent, as the clear-out at QPR gets under-way.

Crowther, a 21-year-old Australian, did not feature for the first team this season. He did, however, play for the Reserves on a fairly regular basis since joining in the summer of 2006.

The Club have thanked Crowther – so one has to assume that there is no hidden agenda here!

With Jake Cole out on loan at Barnet and Lee Camp kicking his heels – sometimes in the Reserves and sometimes not even there – it seems that a radical change is taking place at QPR. At least, that is, so far as goalkeepers are concerned.

We can only hope and trust that there is a plan to bring in a keeper deemed worthy of being number 2 to current number 1, Radek Cerny.

Time will tell!
