Crawley Town were full of praise to Neil Warnock as he revealed his desire to take a full strength team during pre-season.

Upon completion of their south-west tour, Rangers make the trip to the Broadfield Stadium and Warnock has expressed his desire to field a full-strength side.

The fixture itself was enough for boss Steve Evans – who took Boston United to the Football League – to thank Rangers and Warnock.

‘Queens Park Rangers is a great fixture for us. After many conversations with Neil Warnock I can only thank him,’ he told the Non League Newspaper.

‘They are a big traditional London club with some outstanding supporters and I would imagine Neil has had hundreds of requests for a pre season match so we are delighted, perhaps even fortunate to secure this fixture.’

During pre-season Rangers are poised to go on a tour of Italy, and Evans believes that with the wealth behind the club it could be an exciting season for R’s fans.

“Neil likes his team to get competitive matches late in pre season and he knows he will get that here.

‘Queens Park Rangers supporters are in for a very exciting season under Neil Warnock, Mick Jones (R’s assistant) and Keith Curle (R’s first-team coach), they will be recruiting some very talented players and I for one look forward to seeing them here at our stadium in July.’
