Lee Cook speaks ahead of the R`s clash against Plymouth tomorrow night, indicating that the players aren`t affected by their baron spell infront of goal on their travels.
Cookie spoke to QPR.co.uk during the launch of the QPR Magazine, and told the official website that the R`s weren`t being troubled by the lack of away strikes. He pointed to the Sheffield Wednesday game and the number of chances the R`s created:
He said “The R`s faithful went up there, they saw that the performance was a good one, and we really should have comfortably won that game, which is disappointing again because people will talk about the not scoring away from home. But the chances we created that time that was the difference.
“We played some good football and created a number of chances not just one or two, we could have scored four of five goals, so that`s a positive”
The Rangers number 17 looked ahead to the Plymouth clash tomorrow in what has become a must win game as the hang cling on to the coattails of the playoff pack:
He said: “We`ve got Plymouth this weekend and we`ll be looking to definitely win that game. The gaffer`s already spoken to us and said we have to win that game, it`s a game we want to win.
“The boss said the other day that it`ll be going in sooner rather than later, we`re not too worried about that stat, the two goals in away games, we don`t really think about that.
“We go into each and every game with the same mentality and I don`t know if there`s a witch doctor stopping us from scoring goals away from home, but at the minute it just isn`t happening.”
The self professed Rangers fan continued: “I`m sure after seeing the performance and playing the other night, I`m sure sooner rather than later we`ll get some goals.”
“It`s another away game which we`re going to look to win, Plymouth are round-abouts where we are as well so it`s going to be an important game.”
“You look at the three games after that against Preston, Watford and Charlton, and if we do get a result against Plymouth we can go on a run of four or five games there and that takes us right up into the mix.”
“People say that after Christmas the table doesn`t lie and we can go on from there, so we`ll be looking to be in that top six come the new year, comfortably with a few points to spare, and kicking on from there.”
