Lee Cook looks poised to link up with Nottingham Forest for a possible loan move

Hot off the heels of Martin Rowlands joining League One Wycombe Wanderers yesterday (Monday), another of the omissions from the Premier League squad is poised to make his switch.

Former England manager Steve McLaren has taken winger Lee Cook on trial with a view to a loan move in the near future according to the Fulham and Hammersmith Chronicle.

The 29-year-old winger has seen his opportunities limited in his second permanent spell with the club, following a succession of knee injuries.

His form in the first spell prompted Premier League Fulham to snap up the Hammersmith-born wide-man – only for injuries once again to curtail his progress.

Being left out of the Premier League squad was the final indication that Cook’s days at Loftus Road were numbered as he links up with former team-mates Dexter Blackstock and Lee Camp at the City Ground.
