Back up keeper Jake Cole has joined League 2 Strugglers Barnet on a one month loan deal.

Cole has been the number 2 keeper at Rangers for many years having been understudy to Chris Day, Paul Jones, Simon Royce and Lee Camp. First team performances have been few and far between, and he has been loaned out to Hayes, AFC Wimbledon, Farnborough Town and more recently Oxford United.

Despite the rarity of first team action Jake`s attitude has been complimented by former managers, including John Gregory who once said of him “I have been impressed by Jake’s overall attitude and ability”

Given the length of time he has been at the club without breaking into the first team many have wondered if this season will be his last. Given his attitude during his time at Loftus Road there are few who would not give him thanks for his service and wish him well should he find himself looking for a new club come the end of the season.
