With yesterday’s news that Tony Fernandes had stepped down from his position as chairman of the club, it was subsequently confirmed that Amit Bhatia had now taken the role on.
Fernande and Ruben Gnanalingam have both vacated their positions to let Bhatia make the step up from vice chairman and for many Queens Park Rangers fans it just confirms that the end game is Fernandes wants out and this is simply a step in that direction.
Speaking to the Official Site Bhatia confirmed that the club would be looking to be active in the loan market and I’m sure fans were fully on board with the words.
“While we would like to be more active in the transfer market it’s important we adhere to the profitability and sustainability rules moving forward. We are pursuing a more careful and considered strategy and our squad is now made up of young and hungry players, filled with passion and commitment. I am hopeful that we can make more signings before the end of the loan window and that Steve’s final squad on August 31st will make us proud – and make our weekends more enjoyable!”
Thanks TF for all your efforts in the past. Not everything has gone to plan but appreciate your transparency and loyalty to the club. Some in Twitter land may not recall that club may have gone out of business without your financial support. Like this move with AB more active

Think to a lot of fans that wanted Tony out it could be a case of careful what you wish for! Maybe not the best running of club at times but can’t fault his intention or commitment to the club

Congratulations Amit, have been hoping for this for years. Love Tony Fernandes and grateful for what he has done for the club but you have better football instincts. Delighted!

That’s just a tiny section of the responses on social media as fans reacted to the news but it’s been incredibly positive so far.
A strong end to the loan window will only help that.
