Chairman Agrees QPR Man Has Been “Excellent” As Fans Look To New Contract

|

Queens Park Rangers attacker Pawel Wszolek has gone from strength to strength under manager Steve McClaren this season, making 23 appearances across all competitions and returning six goals as we stage an unexpected push for the Play-Off spots in the Championship campaign of 2018/19.

The 26-year-old Polish international is out of contract come the end of the campaign though and if he wants to secure his future abroad, he can now talk to clubs overseas. With it being believed that he’s one of our higher earners at Loftus Road, given our finances with Financial Fair Play, some fans wonder whether or not we can convince him to say as an announcement to the opposite this month would be disappointing.

With us taking a 2-2 draw with Aston Villa on New Year’s Day, Wszolek wasn’t the only player to come in for praise but one fan did contact chairman Amit Bhatia to ask about the contract situation.

Whilst our chairman didn’t give much away, his choice of words may suggest the clubs’ outlook on securing him to a new deal at least.

Whether that eventually turns into a new deal or not remains to be seen.
