Rangers goalkeeper Lee Camp believes that his current stint in the Rangers line-up is a short-term measure for him and QPR.

The R`s stopper was all smiles as he spoke to nottinghamforest.co.uk stating that despite his recent first team opportunity it merely ‘papered over the cracks` as he plays second fiddle to Radek Cerny.

He said: “The bigger picture is that I played today, but the reason why I played is because Radek Cerny`s injured.

“If Radek Cerny would have been fit I would have been in the stand today as a spectator. I probably wouldn`t have travelled with the squad.

“I think the fact that I`ve played the last three games in my eyes it kind of papers over the cracks.”

Lee Camp`s recent comments will give Rangers boss Paulo Sousa an interesting decision to make with regards to the future of the goalkeeping jersey in W12.

Camp believes that when Cerny is fully fit for selection that he will drop out of the reckoning altogether as he continues to be frozen out at Loftus Road.

He continued: “I went back and I trained with the youth team. I was left out of squads and the reason I have been brought back in is because Radek`s injured.

“I played today, I played the last couple but Radek`s still injured so we`ll see what happens when Radek`s fit and available for selection.

“Whether I play my way back in or whether he`ll go straight back in that`s for the manager to decide and what will be will be.”

Camp has recently spoken to BBC Radio Nottingham with regards to his future at Queens Park Rangers and how keen he is to sign for the Tricky Trees.
