Akos Buzsaky has suffered a major set-back in his battle with an ankle injury that will sideline the Hungarian international for the start of the season.

Buzsaky has had a niggling ankle injury in his short period with the R`s, and Head Physio Paul Hunter explains to QPR.co.uk, that international duty could be to blame for his demise:

‘Akos aggravated the tendon in his left ankle whilst on international duty at the end of March and although we tried to treat it extensively, the problem persisted and the specialists decided surgery was the best option.’

Hunter explained the process behind Akos` rehabilitation schedule, and the ins and outs of the injury sustained by the Magical Magyar:

“The operation went as planned and Akos will be in plaster for a couple of weeks, which will allow the tendon to heal.

He’ll then go into a boot for a further couple of weeks which will protect the tendon while it’s still healing and allow him to start working on the range and movement in his ankle.’

Vital QPR would like to wish Akos a speedy recovery
