Amit Bhatia, vice-chairman of QPR Holdings Ltd. has hinted that Rangers will have some new faces in the squad sooner rather than later.
With a whole host of players being linked with the R`s, Rangers director Bhatia did nothing to quell the growing speculation surrounding new faces.
‘We are continuing discussions with a lot of very exciting players.” Bhatia told QPR.co.uk
‘Hopefully before the start of the season we will announce the arrival of some new faces, and everyone will be happy.”
‘QPR now has the ability to attract players that, in the past, might not have been as interested in coming to the Club, and that’s great.’
Bhatia also discussed Rangers odds being slashed from last seasons, when John Gregory`s men were among the favourites for relegation, after narrowly escaping peril the previous season.
‘I can understand why that has happened.” Bhatia said.
‘Someone told me recently that last season we were 160/1 to win the Championship – and now we’re 6/1 to do it.”
‘It’s flattering more than anything else, and let’s just hope that we can do it justice.”
‘What is important is that our results on the pitch justify all the hype that surrounds the Club right now.’
