Swansea City winger Leon Britton is unfazed by Rangers billions, and intimated that Iain Dowie may not last long if he doesn`t deliver promotion.

‘They are a club with a lot of money to spend but we go into the game looking to get a result,’ Britton told the BBC

‘If we play our game and keep to our high standards, I think we’ll be OK.’

‘They are a team that are looking to get promotion or be there or thereabouts at the end of the season,

‘There are billionaires everywhere and I saw that there was game one that Naomi Campbell went to watch.”

‘It’s going to be a tough game,” Britton added.

‘They’ve got a manager in Iain Dowie who knows the division and is doing OK.’

‘When you’ve got that kind of money, pressure comes with it.”

Britton, a former West Ham United youth product, believes there is a pressure that comes with a job such as the one in W12, and Iain Dowie may well pay the price if he doesn`t bring immediate success to Loftus Road.

‘It happens in the Premier League where managers have masses of money to spend and it doesn’t happen straight away they are under pressure.

‘It’s probably the same at QPR to a certain extent.

‘The money has been pumped in and they are looking to get into the Premier League.

‘I suppose if it doesn’t happen soon, the manager is probably the one who is going to be gone.’

Britton moved to Swansea from West Ham in 2002 initially on loan without making a solitary appearance for the Hammers.

He made the deal permanent in June 2003 on a free transfer and has made 227 appearances for the Swans scoring 14 goals in all competitions.
