Speculation linking Brighton and Hove Albion striker Tomer Hemed with a move to Queens Park Rangers certainly isn’t new this month.
The rumour mill was working on that one a few weeks back when the permanent transfer window was open but QPR were hardly going to be busy there given Financial Fair Play issues.
With loan window remaining open and QPR desperately in need of some firepower, the fact the Israeli international didn’t get a permanent move has seen this speculation return, but now focused on a loan deal for the season only.
Sky Sports reported just this yesterday evening.
There’s nothing new in the reports, they repeat that the 31-year-old has fallen down the pecking order under Chris Hughton at the Amex Stadium given their own strengthening, and with 30 goals to his name in 73 Championship appearances, he’s tried and tested at this level and would naturally want game time.
If we do have any interest, we have to hope the deal comes off quickly and possibly in time for this weekend’s game so he gets those extra days to settle in as we need a lift from something.
