Gary Borrowdale, who joined Rangers from Coventry City on loan on 26th November 2008, has had his loan deal made permanent today. He has signed a 3 1/2-year contract with the Rs for an undisclosed fee.

Borrowdale, a natural left-back, has not made any first-team appearances for the Rs since joining on loan; although he has made at least one appearances in the Reserves (as far as I understand!)

Borrowdale, 23-years old, started his career at Crystal Palace and made 114 appearances for the Club he had joined as a trainee. He joined Coventry City in July 2007 for a fee of £650,000 and went on to make 26 appearances for the club before going out on loan for a month, to Colchester in September 2008. A month after his return from that loan spell, Borrowdale joined the Rs.

I am sure that all QPR fans will join me in welcoming Gary Borrowdale as (another!) permanent member of the QPR family. I am sure that we all hope he has a long and successful career with the Rs.
