Marc Bircham is set to take his place in the Rangers reserve team to take on Reading at Loftus Road on Tuesday.

If Birch passes a late fitness test he will be in the starting XI as he looks to increase his match fitness with a view to playing apart in the fixture at Sheffield United this Saturday coming.

Jake Cole returns to action but is likely to have to settle for a place on the Rangers bench.

Marcin Kus, named in the recent Polish squad has recovered from his back injury and should take his place in the Rangers defence.

Meanwhile long term absenteeds Kevin Gallen, Martin Rowlands and Dominic Shimmin will not play any part.

Rowlands is out for the season after suffering another recurrance of his knee ligament injury whilst Gallen and Shimmin are still some way off full fitness.

Kick off is at 2pm at Loftus Road on Tuesday and the Rangers squad is as follows: Thomas, Cole, Ukah, Kus, Howell, Johnson, Santos, Bailey, Youssouf, Baidoo, Townsend, Yelland, O’Connell, Bircham, Bernard.
