It’s been disappointing to lose two home games on the bounce, particularly after our wins at Cardiff and Luton.

We were thoroughly beaten by Sunderland on Tuesday and it was lucky they only scored two goals. We’ve not had too many games where we’ve deserved to lose, but against them and Coventry we have done. We got what we deserved out of them, which was nothing.

But hopefully with a few away games coming up we can get our away form running again and get something from Palace and Stoke.

I know a few of the fans were talking about reaching the play-offs, but we never thought that.

We badly need to get something out of them, because if we don’t the good run we were on will totally go to waste and we’ll find ourselves back in the relegation zone.

I know a few of the fans were talking about reaching the play-offs after going five matches unbeaten, but we never thought that. Our main aim this year is the same as when the gaffer came in, and that is to stay up in this division. And if we do that, we’ve done well. Get the 50 points and see where we are then.

As for me, I’m on the way back to recovering from my hamstring injury. I’ve been running since Saturday, so hopefully I’ll be back in training by Monday. I won’t play any part in our match away to Crystal Palace, though.

As you know, my contract with QPR runs out at the end of the season, but as yet there’s been no movement on my future.

I definitely want to stay at Rangers. I’ve always stated what I felt about the club and that I don’t want to leave. I can only say that a certain amount of times.

But I’ve been injured so I’ve just been concentrating on getting fit again and back in the side.

I was very happy with my form before I got injured, so it’s not like the club or John Gregory don’t know what I can do. It’s just a question of getting back in the team and playing again.

But if the club don’t offer a player a contract by January, and it goes into the last three or four months of your contract then you can read into what you will.
