Armand Traoré is expecting Stoke City to have a point to prove as QPR travel to the Britannia this weekend.

The former Arsenal full-back is hoping to feature in his second successive fixture, after claiming his place back from former Potter Clint Hill.

‘I have played them away before so I know what to expect,’ Traoré told QPR.co.uk.

‘They like to play direct, but they now play more football than perhaps they did a few years ago.

‘It is going to be a very difficult and tough game, especially after their 5-0 defeat in their last match with Bolton. But I believe we can go there and take something positive from this match.’

The full-back has predominantly been in positive form, but the blot on his record remains a red card against Aston Villa after a lunge at Marc Albrighton.

The Senegalese international is determined to put that behind him and concentrate on maintaining a run of form.

He continued: ‘I am very happy with how I have played so far but for me it is important to play well each week.

‘I am focused on the next game, not what I have done in the past.’

Traoré has made six appearances for QPR this season, laying on an assists for Heidar Helguson and DJ Campbell.
