Queens Park Rangers were involved in arguably the most dramatic moment in Premier League history on this day in 2012 as Manchester City claimed the title.
As many will remember, Roberto Mancini’s men went into the game needing three points for the title but the R’s knew they may need something to stay up themselves, so everything was on the line. As it turns out, the Londoners didn’t need a result, so the two injury time goals that the hosts scored to win the league, didn’t relegate QPR in the process.
8️⃣ years ago today @jamiemackie85 headed #QPR in front at @ManCity.
We're pretty sure nothing eventful happened after that 🤷♂️ pic.twitter.com/ogG5P7RyE7

Nevertheless, for much of the afternoon the Hoops thought they would need something and the club looked back at the jubilant scenes that accompanied Jamie Mackie’s second half header that gave QPR a 2-1 lead at the time, even though they had been playing with ten men after Joey Barton’s dismissal.
As you would expect, looking back at that afternoon brought plenty of responses and here we share some of the comments as fans explain how their emotions changed throughout…

Once we were safe, I’m so glad that we lost and robbed Man Utd of the title.

@qprstephen What a cross, what a header. An unbelievable mental day watching QPR.

Lost my life when that went in. Perfect execution of a header, into the ground, goalie has no idea where it is going.
