With reports earlier this week suggesting that Queens Park Rangers now favoured former Brentford, Rangers and Nottingham Forest gaffer Mark Warburton for the position of manager at Loftus Road, it’s struck a decent chord with a number of fans.
To save overly repeating the story, I’ll simply copy it in.
Eustace Remains As QPR Prepare To Announce New Manager – Reports
The twist to the story really seemed to be only the fact that John Eustace would stay and Warburton wouldn’t presumably be bringing his usual backroom staff with him to the club, but given he is the type of manager who better prioritises the development of youth players as opposed to being a chequebook ilk manager, the situation at QPR certainly favours someone with that mindset.
Not just because of our financial issues, but also the huge talents we could have as long as they are developed in the right way in the future.
Taking to social media to react to the recent reports, it certainly found favour with a number in the fanbase.
An intelligent and capable man, good at Brentford, briefly, but perhaps lacking the necessary charisma. The Rs' suits have fudged the issue once again, while the real deficiencies in the club are at the top.

That’s good news, he has been my preferred option all along, given his background in developing young players at Rangers’ Middlesex near-neighbours….

Nice one if it's true. My first choice. Hopefully he can turn things around. Did good things at Brentford on a tight budget

Happy with that. Brentford always seem to have an endless production line of previously unknown players, particularly forward players, let’s hope he still has a decent network after being out of a job for a while.
