Partick Agyemang has stepped up his rehabilitation today as he looks to force his way back to first team affairs.

Agyemang has been sidelined since the turn of the year with a torn thigh muscle but physio Paul Hunter told QPR.co.uk that the former Preston North End forward is on the road to recovery.

Hunter said: ‘The thigh muscle tear has healed very well,

‘It’s still work in progress, but this is a very positive step up the ladder for Pat and we’ll give him all the support he needs over the next couple of months in a bid to return to full fitness as soon as possible.’

The good news on the injury front continues as Radek Cerny (hamstring) and Heidar Helguson (calf) both resume full training and are making good progress.

Hunter added: ‘Radek’s hamstring has healed really well over the last week or so and he resumed full training on Monday.

‘Heidar was suffering with a very slight calf tear, but he’s back in training too, so we’re really pleased with his progress.’

The latter duo face a race against time to be fit for the Ipswich encounter this weekend, but should they not be fit Lee Camp and Dexter Blackstock should be ready to step in in their stead.
