Adel Taarabt is set to talk to hold talks with Tottenham Hotspur as he eyes his departure from White Hart Lane.

The former QPR loanee is still a reported interest for manager Neil Warnock, but more recent interest is coming from Spain and France, as well as Premier League West Ham United.

Taarabt – who has already expressed his desire to leave Tottenham – told the Daily Mail that Villarreal are interested in him, while recognising his improvement in W12.

‘I still do not have a clear future. I need to speak with Spurs to clear up the situation,’ he said.

‘I have a deal with Tottenham but it is true that Villarreal have asked about me.

‘My last season with QPR was positive and increased my level as a footballer.’

The Moroccan has no shortage of admirers and appears to have little in the way of a future in North London – whether he’d be prepared not only to stay in England but come back to Rangers remains to be seen.

The attacking playmaker is keeping his options open for the time being it seems as Warnock attempts to lure him back to Loftus Road.
