Not that it will surprise anyone – most of us have already digested the news coming out of the Club today and have started chatting about it! But for those of you who work on Mars – with no access to computers, radios or t.v.s – here is a newsflash!

Neil Warnock was confirmed as ‘nPower Manager of the Month’ for August – following the terrific start the Rs made to the 2010/2011 campaign. And deservedly so!

And just as deserved is Adel Taarabt’s award of ‘nPower Player of the Month’ for August – well, there is no argument there – scoring goals, creating goals and, most importanlty, creating havoc in the opposition.

Well done to both Neil and Adel for all of us here at VitalQPR – and all QPR fans around the world!

And, finally, we’ve got him. Who? Tommy Smith, of course. After the farce that ended with the Football League refusing to allow our purchase of Smith on transfer deadline day – we have now finalised a deal that sees Smith signing three one-month loan agreements that will take him up to the end of December 2010 and a guaranteed purchase on 1st January 2011.

Warnock has confirmed that Smith will go straight into the squad to face Middlesbrough on Saturday. Smith himself has stated that playing under Neil Warnock was a big factor in coming to QPR – and after the start to this season that we’ve made under the gaffer, I can certainly see why – even if Warnock was surprised at this super start.

‘I didn’t expect us to get the results we did in the opening month of the season,’ Warnock told QPR.co.uk

‘We had a very good pre-season and we managed to get a lot of good work in. We’ve scored goals at the right time, even when everyone was writing us off,’ he added.

So, other than this mysterious Cypriot trialist, things should start to settle down at Loftus Road, giving the nine new faces a chance to blend and bond with the existing personnel. And hopefully continue the excellent form into September and beyond.
