3 Shots, 2 Key Passes – QPR’s 21 y/o Talent Takes The Headlines & MotM Again

|

With new Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Warburton opening up the Championship campaign with a victory, we almost made it two from two in Saturday’s clash with newly relegated Huddersfield Town.

Despite dominating the clash at Loftus Road, an early second half penalty had given the visitors the advantage and we needed Grant Hall to secure us a point inside of the final ten minutes – but it was nothing less than we deserved.

Statistics website Whoscored gave their star man award to youngster Ebere Eze with a rating of 7.49 from the day.

Completing the top five from the weekend’s action was goalscorer Hall (7.42), Ryan Manning (6.99), goalkeeper Joe Lumley (6.63) and on loan Jordan Hugill (6.63).

Six from six would’ve been better, but despite Warburton himself not being happy with a return of four, I doubt many fans will be complaining too loudly given we all know there’s plenty of improvements left to be made in our new playing style – but we’re seeing signs of it coming good.
