This week the Official Site confirmed that now, 21-year-old Rowan had been handed a contract extension that sees him committed to the club until the summer of 2020.

The ball playing centre-half must have clearly impressed to earn the second deal and the club have described him as having a vocal presence on the pitch for our Under 23s as well which bodes well for his maturity.

The youngster himself admitted that last year was a disappointment for him as he picked up injuries, so for him he wanted to treat this coming year as a ‘fresh slate’ to really impress.

“The club are showing faith in me and they believe in me. They’ve given me a plan, told me where they want me next season and I’m really happy with that and can’t wait to start.”
