14 Clearances Helps This QPR Man To MotM From Rotherham Battle

|

Queens Park Rangers extended their unbeaten run to three games on Tuesday evening as we travelled to the New York Stadium to face off against Rotherham United.

Despite their lowly 19th place position in the Championship table, Rotherham had been unbeaten in the last five so weren’t going to be walkovers and that more than proved to be the case as they took the lead twice either side of a Nahki Wells effort and we needed a stoppage-time leveller from newly contracted Luke Freeman to take a point.

With two penalty shouts for Ebere Eze and Joel Lynch the night could’ve been different and we did largely have the better of the game on a statistics front.

According to website Whoscored centre-half Toni Leistner was our standout man with a score of 7.92.

He was quickly followed by Freeman (7.84), Wells (7.10), goalkeeper Joe Lumley (7.03) and the now ever reliable Angel Rangel (6.69).

Come the end of the season it could be a valuable point in what some would’ve considered a potential banana skin.
